Apple Cider Vinegar: Natural Remedy for Pregnancy Symptoms

I've been using apple cider vinegar to help with some sinus issues that popped up during pregnancy, and I must day, it's pretty darn good! Cleared up my stuffy nose and flu really well. I tend to lean towards natural remedies. If I can find a natural way to beat my pregnancy symptoms, I tend to go for it instead on relying on pharmacy prescriptions\solutions. So I've put together a little ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) info sheet on how it helps with pregnancy symptoms.

Solve these 11 pregnancy symptoms with ACV

1) Indigestion\ nausea\ morning sickness
Make a simple mixture of 1 tsp of honey + 1 tsp of ACV + some warm water

2) Sinus\ flu\ stuffy Nose
Drink some ACV with warm water or make a mixture of ACV + salt + baking soda to help irrigate the nasal passage

3) Sore throat
Mix a quarter cup ACV with warm water and gargle every hour to help kill germs or any infections

4) Reduce swelling
Simply rub some ACV onto swollen hands or feet

5) Extinguish exhaustion
A simple mixture of warm mater and ACV will help boost your energy. It contains potassium and enzymes that relieve lethargy.

6) Relieve leg cramps
Twice a day, take a mixture of ACV and warm water. It will dissolve the acid crystals in the blood. ACV also provides potassium, calcium and other essential minerals to the body, helping relieve leg cramps.

7) Fight yeast infections
Take half a cup of ACV and poor it into a filled bath tub and yes, simply soak in it. It will help reduce any infection or discharge. Another tip, ACV (in this manner as well) helps disinfect birth stitches naturally.

8) Control blood sugar levels
Take ACV + warm water, 3 times a day to help improve insulin sensitivity which is essential to maintain blood sugar levels.

9) Ease discomfort from vericose veins
Combine ACV in equal portion to lotion and apply every morning and night. It will improve circulation in the vein walls and helps to ease swelling and bulging veins. They will become much less noticeable in time.

10) Acne (due to hormonal changes in pregnancy)
ACV helps eliminate bacteria and balance out skin PH levels as well as absorb excessive oil. Mix 1 part ACV to 3-4 part water. Apply this solution directly to affected area with a cotton pad. Leave in for 10 minutes and then rinse off.

11) Bone health (calcium deficiency during pregnancy)
The abundance of calcium, potassium, magnesium and other vital minerals in ACV makes it a good candidate for maintaining healthy bones.

Apple cider vinegar is amber in colour compared to normal white vinegar

So, you are probably wondering, where do I get apple cider vinegar?

It is available in most supermarkets, just look in the vinegar aisle. You will definitely find it there. If you feel like exploring apple cider vinegar more. There is an organic health shop nearby, just a really short walk from Surya Yoga Studio. It's in the same row of shops as Heritage (the restaurant). It's called Newlife Organic

The ladies that run the place are really nice and they know almost everything on organic products. In short, they know their stuff, give them a visit and you'll get what I mean. They also have tons of other health products and a little organic produce section.

Me, half a year ago (I think) at Newlife Organic. I was there to help one of my students find organic yoghurt powder to add to her everyday health smoothie.
